Kel-Tec KSG Stainless Steel Magazine Follower Upgrade Installation Procedure

Thank you for purchasing CDS Tactical Products Kel-Tec KSG stainless steel magazine follower upgrade. Please read the instructions below prior to installation.
Prior to installation make sure the firearm is unloaded, and that you follow all standard firearms safe handling procedures.
Follow the dis-assembly instructions provided in the Kel-Tec safety, instruction and parts manual included with your KSG.
Steps below are for reference only, Kel-Tec manual takes precedent.

1) Check to verify the KSG is not loaded.

2) Remove rear take down pin.

3) Remove forward take down pin or single point sling attachment.

4) Remove Stock.

5) Remove grip assembly.
Picture
6) Remove Bolt

7) Unscrew magazine bolts with alternating 1/2 turns until barrel and receiver assemblies separate.

8) Press down stop actuator to clear mag stop actuator. Pull both assemblies apart.

9) End view of receiver assembly.

10) Align tabs of tool with notches in mag plug.

11) Thread socket head cap screw into mag plug.

12) Snug socket head cap screw with 3/8" Allen wrench. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!

13) Using a 7/8" open end wrench, turn tool counter-clockwise to loosen mag plug.

14) Continue turning counter clockwise until mag plug disengages completely. CAUTION! Mag plug is under spring tension!

15) Remove spring and OEM plastic follower.

16) Install new stainless plug onto spring.

17) Insert plug and spring into mag tube.

18) Re-install mag plug by threading clockwise.

19) Seat mag plug by turning clockwise and tighten by hand. Snug mag plug onto mag tube using a 7/8" open end wrench. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!

20) Remove tool from mag plug by using 3/8" Allen wrench and 7/8" open end wrench.
21) Repeat process on opposite mag tube.
22) Re-assemble KSG per instructions provided in the Kel-Tec safety, instruction and parts manual included with your KSG.

They look nice but that's as far as it goes. The diameter of the units are too small. The issue is when it reaches the end of the magazine it constantly gets jammed after all the shells are spent. All due to the fact that the diameter is too small. The second issue is where the follower slaps the end of the magazine barrel in slams into the magazine stop, the area it also jambs up. I noticed it's beginning to wear on the barrel, this is something I never considered at time of purchase. For this reason I'm sticking with the nylon OEM. I would rather replace the OEM nylon followers rather than a barrel. It will be interesting to see if you post this on your website.
